my coffee stains theme won 2nd prize at the multiply theme contest. i'm ecstatic!
first, because i like the theme that won. it's simple and really nice. i think it sends a message to all those theme makers who create really complicated and messy-looking themes that are all over the page. there's a lesson to be learned here folks, and sour-graping doesn't help your cause either. (oh my goodness, pregnancy has made me so catty!)
second, i'm happy that my theme got to the finals in the first place! remember that i was at the height of first trimester nausea at that time and my head was more often in the bowl than in front of the computer. so i didn't have the time nor the energy to create a new theme for the contest. it was such a pleasant surprise for me and a great honor of course! esp because there were really great entries!
third, although there was no monetary reward, the honor of being in the top 4 is more than enough for me. they must have gotten hundreds of entries, and some of the other designers are really really good. plus, i get free publicity! =)
